Your Vote is More Important Than Ever
Last updated on September 19, 2022
There are only three remaining State Primary Elections before the November Elections. So now, we know who will be on every ballot with those three exceptions. Have you followed up on the candidates in your State? Do you know their positions on important issues? Or are you one of those who votes down the Party Line?
There are so many controversial issues at play this election cycle it warrants our attention to each one. For example, which candidate will fight inflation? Which will cut back on government spending? Who is going to ensure police have the tools to fight crime? Who will stop the influx of drugs from killing our youth? Do any provide a solution to the crisis at the southern border?
Do you intend to vote for the incumbent? The average age of Representatives is 58 years and of Senators is 64 years. Do you believe we need more young people in these offices? What about their previous experience? Do they have a background in a real-world profession, or have they always pursued politics? For example, President Biden’s top 68 political appointees have an average of 2.4 years of real-world professional experience.
Our country is in the grips of division, crossing many boundaries. A wedge has been driven between families, friends, and colleagues on so many issues it often feels like we are at war verbally and ideologically. As long as the country remains divided to this extent, it is doubtful any elected body will be able to produce positive results that better the lives of all. It is our responsibility as citizens to inform and elect officials whose interests align with our intentions. Unfortunately, when elected officials push their political agendas, they do not have us in mind. Instead, they pursue their own monetary, power, and political interests.
